  A rare early English silver drinks flask of small size in the form of a medieval pilgrim flask. Plain form and heavy gauge silver with a screw-on top. To the front there is a large decorative cartouche hand engraved with an armorial for the Nutt family. Weight 132g, 4.2 troy oz. Height 12cm. Width 8cm. Maker “BR conjoined”. London circa 1690. This antique sterling silver drinking flask has an engraved presentation inscription “LORDS – Eton v Harrow – 1st Innings 28 – 2nd Innings 81 – 1899”.   A splendid antique silver drinks flask in the form of a standing bear with outstretched paws. Excellent quality and heavy gauge cast silver. Very pleasing design with lifelike detail in the face and all-over chased fur. The head is removable so that the body can be used as a decanter and the head as a cup; it pours beautifully. The interior is gilded. Contains 1 litre. Weight 1407 grams, 45.2 troy ounces. Height 24.5cm. Width between the paws 13.5cm. German Hanau silver marks. Probably Neresheimer. Circa 1900.

This stylish bar set in the form of a ship’s bucket has a coopered body made of solid wood panels held together with silver plated metal bands and has a chunky rope handle. Holds up to 3 standard wine bottles. The multi-purpose bottom section swivels out and can be used to contain bar items, bottle openers, cigars, playing cards etc. Above the swivel drawer, engraved to the silver plated band, are the British patent numbers “Rd90495 DEPOSE Rd90496”.   A particularly rare novelty cocktail shaker in the form of a 1930s fire extinguisher. Eight classic cocktail recipes are revealed by simply turning the base. In addition, there is a cigar lighter hidden inside the top – just undo the little screw nut to find the wick. Asprey & Co. introduced the satisfyingly expensive ‘Thirst Extinguisher’ to their luxury range in 1932. Height 41 cms. Silver plated.
