Description
An excellent antique Dutch gilt silver spoon, the end of the handle modelled with a seated figure holding a baby and accompanied by a cherub. The back of the bowl is inscribed with the owners initials.
Weight 61 grams, just under 3 troy ounces.
Length 18.3 cms. Bowl measures 7×5 cms.
Stamped with Dutch silver marks for Amsterdam.
Circa 1750.
Condition
This useful silver spoon is in very good condition. The bowl is solid. The gilt shows signs of wear. Good clear silver marks. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
