  A rare matched set of six Hanoverian pattern three pronged forks. Lovely early English style. Each with a matching hand engraved crest to the reverse. One spoon is by David Willaume I, George I reign and made from Britannia* standard silver. The others are from George II reign and made from sterling silver 925 grade. Total weight 372 grams, 11.9 troy ounces. Length 18.5-19 cms (some variation). Mixed dates 1713-1744. Mixed makers, some unidentified.
  Table silver of this date was stamped with “up the handle” silver marks which were punched on the thin central part of the handle and it is not unusual that these stamps are distorted or badly struck and difficult to read.

  A fine antique sterling silver bullet shape teapot. Lovely plain shape with a straight spout and inset hinge. To the front there is a hand engraved armorial. This is a very early teapot. Although a few 17th century teapots exist there is very little likelihood of finding one before 1710.   Incredible quality and weight. A pair of heavy antique sterling silver castors of octagonal shape. With a hand engraved coronet and fancy scroll work design to the front of each. One caster has a pierced top for pepper and the other has a blind cover for dry mustard. The quality of the detailed pierced work and engraving is exceptional and gives the overall impression that they are of Huguenot manufacture and of an outstanding maker such as Paul de Lamerie.   An excellent antique silver covered jug of plain form with a cast and applied foot and handle. Britannia standard silver*. Very heavy quality. This type of jug would have been used for serving wine, beer or other cold liquids. To the front is a contemporary hand engraved armorial within a decorative fish scale cartouche. The spout has a hinged cover with hand engraved initials “W over I*M”; these initials are repeated underneath the foot. The handle has the initial “A” over some indistinct initials, possibly “I*M”, which would indicate a marriage. Contains 1525 ml. Weight 1203 grams, 38.6 troy ounces. Height 29.5 cms.
