    An excellent Georgian sterling silver strainer dish of oval form with a plain border. Excellent quality and good gauge silver as you’d expect from this world famous English silversmith. Hand engraved to one side of the platter with a family crest. The mazarine is designed to be used on top of an oval platter so that the decorative piercing would allow the juices to drain onto the platter below. Weight 1919 grams, 61.7 troy ounces.     A very smart antique silver tray of oval shape with a bevelled glass centre and silver ball feet. The pierced silver gallery has a bead border, interlaced scroll design and inset carrying handles. Underneath the border is reinforced with a brass ring. Length 56.5 cm. Width 42 cm. Height 6 cm. Stamped on the side of the handles with Dutch silver marks and the date letter “L” for 1845. Silver grade 934 (this is purer than sterling silver which is 925 parts out of 1000).

The border is decorated with heads, reclining figures and classical motifs. Weight 2010 grams, 64.6 troy ounces. Length 58 cms. Width 48 cms. Marked on the bottom edge with German silver marks.
