    A handsome antique sterling silver salver with a broad shell and gadroon border and grape decorated shell feet. Excellent quality as you’d expect by this prestigious English master silversmith. To the centre there is a large hand engraved armorial with a prince or princess’s coronet above, and the motto “Deo Rece Patris” below. Weight 678 grams, 21.8 troy ounces. Diameter 24 cms. Height 3 cms. London 1828. Maker Paul Storr.

    A large and handsome antique carving plate with a hot water jacket. There is a well to collect the juices. Good plain design with a broad gadroon and shell border and decorative side handles and feet. A crest and armorial are hand engraved to the top border. The hot water is filled via a screw cap filler tube on the underside. Spread across handles 65.5cm. Outside measures – 59cmx47cm. Inner rim measures – 44cmx33cm. Unmarked. Old Sheffield Plate. Circa 1830.

    A stunning pair of antique sterling silver salvers with heavy cast borders and pierced scrolling feet. Fantastic quality as you’d expect by this prestigious English master silversmith. The shaped and pierced decorative borders have intricate all over foliate scroll decoration with 8 roundels. The centre has a thick band of deep chased engraving which matches the border. Marked underneath with numbers 3 and 5 so these salvers must have originally been from a set of 6 or more. Total weight 1666 grams, 53.5 troy ounces. Diameter 25 cms. Height 2.8 cms. London 1835.     An excellent antique silver salmon dish with a long oval form and reed border. Good large size. Original gilt finish (some wear). Engraved on both sides with a large armorial and the crest “Acta Non Verba”. Weight 2874 grams, 92.4 troy ounces. Length 80 cms. Width 37.5 cms. Marked on the edge with French silver marks. Circa 1840.

    A very smart antique silver tray of oval shape with a bevelled glass centre and silver ball feet. The pierced silver gallery has a bead border, interlaced scroll design and inset carrying handles. Underneath the border is reinforced with a brass ring. Length 56.5 cm. Width 42 cm. Height 6 cm. Stamped on the side of the handles with Dutch silver marks and the date letter “L” for 1845. Silver grade 934 (this is purer than sterling silver which is 925 parts out of 1000).

The surface has a broad band of foliate scroll engraving surrounding a large finely engraved coat of arms. There is a crest and motto engraved to one side. Weight approx 3020 grams, 97.1 troy ounces.     A large antique German silver dish of oval form having a decorative embossed design. Very deep relief. The centre depicts 3 young maidens dressed in flowing robes on horseback. In the background there is an army with soldiers, horses and tents to the left and, to the right, there is a beautiful ancient city with domes and turrets. The border is decorated with heads, reclining figures and classical motifs. Weight 2010 grams, 64.6 troy ounces. Length 58 cms. Width 48 cms. Marked on the bottom edge with German silver marks. Circa 1850.
