    A lovely decorative antique silver gilt jug and basin with foliate scroll design and curved bird handle. Weight 2489 grams,80 troy ounces. Jug – height 30.7 cms, spread 22.5 cms. Bowl – height 11.4 cms, diameter 35.5 cms. Marked underneath both jug and bowl with Portuguese silver marks for Oporto circa 1880.

    A medium size antique bowl in the Queen Anne style with a detachable shaped rim and lions mask side carrying handles. Lovely ribbed body with decorative cartouches to front and back. The rim is very charming with shaped scrolls and face decoration. This bowl was originally used to hold stem glasses, punch ladle and lemon squeezer. Height 18.5 cms. Diameter 20.5 cms. Circa 1880. Marked underneath. Silver plated.

    A rare antique silver dish fashioned as a white damask tablecloth draped over a gilt wickerwork basket. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. Weight 744 grams, 23.9 troy ounces.     8613 Queen Anne Style Silver Bowl

    A handsome antique sterling bowl in the early 18th century style with lions mask side handles, typical ribbed body decoration and decorative cartouches. The shaped rim was monteith style which was originally used to hold stem glasses, punch ladle and lemon squeezer (the top of an original monteith is also detachable). To the front there is an engraved crest of a standing cat with the motto “Touch Not the Cat Bot a Glove”*. To the front there is a presentation inscription**. Weight of silver 1321 grams, 42.4 troy ounces. Height 20 cms, diameter 25 cms. London 1886. Maker Sibray Hall & Co.

    A beautiful antique silver epergne set with a matching pair of tall dishes. The pierced decoration is particularly attractive with flowers, scrolls and heart shaped ornament. The epergne has five bowls which can be detached and used separately. The pair of tazzas are raised on tall decorative feet and have a shaped cast border. There is a presentation inscription on the centrepiece front and all the dishes are engraved to the centre with a monogram of entwined letters in old fashioned script. Total weight 3,153g, 101.3 troy oz.

    An excellent quality antique silver vase modelled after the famous Roman antiquity discovered at Tivoli during the 18th century. Heavy gauge silver and exquisite detail. Small size. Of typical campana form with entwined vine handles, the vase is applied with Bacchanalian heads and flaming torches, below which there is a lion’s head and paws to front and back on a background of hand executeded lion’s “fur”.     A good quality antique silver bowl having 6 decorated panels and a blank cartouche to the front. The embossed panels are covered with characterful scenes depicting Jakarta scenes, an elephant and sage vindura-pandita, figures pulled in a horse drawn chariot, a figure asleep in a tree, a water carrier pursued by a Chinthe, figures pouring tea in front of buildings, each reserved in strapwork with foliate scrolls and vignettes infilled with devas (celestial sprites).
