    An unusual combination sterling silver condiment set which can be slotted together into the form of a milk churn. The salt, pepper and mustard pot pull apart for use separately. Each piece is expertly modelled with coopered banding, perfectly fitting lids and bright gilding. The mustard pot has an integral blue glass liner.     A handsome antique sterling bowl in the early 18th century style with lions mask side handles, typical ribbed body decoration and decorative cartouches. The shaped rim was monteith style which was originally used to hold stem glasses, punch ladle and lemon squeezer (the top of an original monteith is also detachable). To the front there is an engraved crest of a standing cat with the motto “Touch Not the Cat Bot a Glove”*. To the front there is a presentation inscription**. Weight of silver 1321 grams, 42.4 troy ounces. Height 20 cms, diameter 25 cms. London 1886. Maker Sibray Hall & Co.

    A large antique sterling silver tray of oval form with inset carrying handles. The decorative gallery is attractively pierced with a crisscross design. The underside has a hardwood base making the tray very strong. No inscription. Weight including wood 3364 grams, 108.1 troy ounces. Length 58 cms. Width 39 cms. Marked to the edge of the base rim with full English silver hallmarks for London 1886. Makers mark partially stamped, probably Joseph Angell.

    A late 19th century Chinese export silver rose water sprinkler. The lower body and foot are finely chased with repousse floral decoration, and the tall slender top has a cast and applied bird with the little sprinkler holes. Weight 70 grams, 2.2 troy ounces. The base has a shaped band of embossed gadroon decoration and the feet are in the form of gush of water ejected from the dophin’s mouth. On top there is a fine quality cut glass bowl. Weight of silver 1528 grams, 49.1 troy ounces. Total height 18 cms. Base 34 x 26.5 cms. Glass bowl 31.5 x 23 cms. German silver stamps crown and moon. Silver fineness “800”*. Circa 1890.

Superb bright gilt finish and excellent quality modelling and chased detail. Napoleon is wearing full dress regalia, with epaulettes and the trademark bicorne hat, he is sitting on a military drum.     Of horse racing interest. A superb pair of large antique sterling silver presentation vases with covers. Each trophy has a tall vase shape on a pedestal foot and flying side handles. The embossed decoration is particularly fine with ribbons and swags of harebells, there is a band of acanthus leaves around the bottom. Each side there is a plaited ribbon cartouche containing, to the front, a coat of arms with crest and to the back, a presentation inscription. These vases, or chestnut urns, are very large and suitable to stand a bottle inside. Weight 1784 grams and 1705 grams, total 3489 grams, 112.1 troy ounces. Height 40 cms with lid, 29.2 cms without lid. Spread across the handles 23 cms. Stamped with a full set of matching English silver hallmarks on each vase and each lid for London 1896.
