8849 Antique Queen Anne Style Silver Monteith Bowl
A large and handsome antique sterling punch bowl in the early 18th century style with lions mask side handles, typical ribbed body decoration and a decorative cartouche to the front. The shaped scalloped rim is detachable; this is used to hold stem glasses, punch ladle and lemon squeezer and a bowl of this type is referred to as a Monteith. Weight of silver 3426 grams, 110 troy ounces. Height 19 cms (without rim), 25 cms (with rim), diameter 37 cms. London 1877. Maker Charles Stuart Harris.
8981 Antique Gold Portrait Box - Napoleon
An antique wooden box with an inset portrait of Napoleon, hand painted and signed “Delaroche”, within an ivory surround. The burr wood is particularly attractive. The gold interior has French gold stamps. Diameter 8.7cm. Circa 1860. 15 carat gold or higher.

A delightful little antique silver purse in the form of a handbag with a carrying chain. Excellent decorative detail including faux basket weave and shaped leather straps with buckles. Original gilt interior. Weight 66 grams, 2.1 troy ounces. Height 6cm (excluding chain). Width 7cm. Stamped on both sides with Russian silver marks including the grade “84”, town mark, the year 1882 and the makers mark.
8994 Antique Silver Plated Ink Stand
A fine quality antique inkstand with an oval pierced gallery. Silver plated. To the centre the cherub figure is holding a taper stick and can be removed to use the circular box below for pen nibs etc. The two crystal faceted ink bottles have silver plated tops and cut star bases. Length 26cms, width 20cms. The edge of the nib box has silver plate marks for Elkington & Co; date cypher for 1849.

A delightful antique after dinner drinks set consisting of a dozen little cut crystal liqueur glasses with a matching pair of small decanters. All sitting on the original arts and crafts style silver plated tray with carrying handles. Tray spread 36 cms, length 27 cms, width 19 cms. Decanters each contain 150 ml, height 20 cms,. Glasses height 5.5 cms. Circa 1890.
9016 Antique Turkish Silver Incense Burner
A good quality 19th century silver incense burner with part gilt finish. The hinged lid is pierced and has a decorative finial. The body has unusual hand engraving of mythological figures on a flower and foliate background. Weight 372 grams, 11.9 troy ounces. Height 18 cm. Diameter of base 8.4 cm. Stamped with tughra and sahh marks, and assay scrapes. Tughra of Sultan Abdulmejid I (1839-1861). 900 standard silver.Turkish circa 1850.

An antique sterling silver card case with hinged top and all over embossed scroll decoration. To the front there is a deep relief representation of the Scott Memorial in Edinburgh, Scotland. 9268 Antique Silver Model Horse and Rider
A large and substantial figure of a silver rider on horseback. Excellent quality and heavy gauge. Original gilt finish and jewelling to the clothing and horse harness. Natural stone base. The model is very intricate with many separate pieces assembled together. The head is removable. Weight 1180 grams, 37.9 troy ounces. This weight excludes the onyx base and the two silver hallmarked screw caps. It includes the weight of the two screws soldered to the bottom of the back hooves. Height 28 cm (from base to top of head). Base height 3 cm, length 24 cm, width 13 cm. Marked on the head, harness and horse tail with London import marks for 1896, maker Edwin Thompson Bryant.

An excellent sterling silver mustard pot of circular form with a hinged lid by the highly regarded Benjamin Smith. The body and lid with a pretty hand engraved decoration with flowers and scrolls, the front with a crest of a stag encircled by a snake. Original blue glass liner. Weight 153 grams, 4.9 troy ounces. 8259 Antique German Silver Double Box
An unusual silver box with domed hinged lids to top and bottom and a double compartment. To each side there are embossed interior scenes of people in old fashioned clothing; drinking, playing musical instruments and relaxing with animals. Original gilt interior. Weight 142 grams, 4.5 troy ounces. Height 7.5 cm. Top measures 7 x 4.5 cm. Marked inside the base with the pseudo marks of Wolf & Knell founded in 1887, merged in 1914 with Gebruder Glaser to form Vereinigte Silberwarenfabriken. Hanau, circa 1900.

An antique silver model of a windmill mounted on a wine cup. Hand engraved. Beautifully constructed with multiple moving parts. The windmill house is reached by a staircase with two sculptured figures climbing up, on one side there is a man peeping out of a small window. The revolving windmill sails connect to the clock hands on the other side and both move together. The roof is mounted with a revolving flag, a tiny bird and a sculptured finial. There is a horn which is non-functional. Weight 203 grams, 6.5 troy ounces. Height 22.5 cm. Diameter of cup 8.5 cm. Fully stamped with Dutch silver marks fpr Amsterdam. Circa 1890.

An attractive model silver bird with removable top. This can be used as a salt or pepper shaker using the detachable grill inside. Alternatively it can be used without the grill. An unusual antique sterling silver pin cushion in the form of the Coronation Chair at Westminster Abbey in London. This was made in 1296 for King Edward I to enclose the famous Stone of Scone; the original is made of solid oak and stands on 4 gilt lions. Height 4 cms. Width 2.5 cms.Depth 1.25 cms. 9318 Victorian Silver Vinaigrette
Possibly of military interest. A rare barrel shaped antique sterling silver vinaigrette with combination scent bottle and pill box. The vinaigrette has a pretty pierced gilt grill. The quality of this piece is exceptional; the scent flask having a screw lid with integral carrying chain, the two boxes retain their original bright gilt interior. Weight 58 grams, 1.8 troy ounce. An excellent quality antique sterling silver mounted box with faceted ruby glass panels and star cut base. In the style of Baccarat. The top is engraved with a stag in a forest scene. To the front there is an aperture, presumably for a spoon, indicating that it is probably for sugar. Height 11 cm. Width 13 cm. Depth 10 cm. The silver mount is stamped with English silver hallmarks for London 1880. Maker Charles Boyton.
8465 Antique French Silver Scent Bottle
An excellent quality antique scent bottle with a decorative silver mount. The hinged top has a hand engraved design with flowers, leaves and dot scroll work. The oval shaped body is made of multi faceted crystal and typically of the period, has a rounded base which was made to lie down. Traces of the original gilt finish. H 11.2 cms. Width 4 cms. Stamped on the mount and top with very small French silver marks, circa 1860.

A fine antique sterling silver wine ewer of tall elegant vase form standing on a ribbed pedestal foot. The body is finely engraved with bands of leaves and scrolls. An antique seal with white hard stone handle and solid gold mount. The carved intaglio has an armorial, a horse crest over a crown, and the motto “Con Fide”. The stone handle could be white jade or quartz cabouchon. The intaglio is a creamier white colour and may be rock crystal. Length 6.7 cms. Unmarked gold (15 or 18 carat). French. Circa 1840.
