    An early English silver cream jug having a pitcher shape with shaped scroll handle and a small spreading foot. Small size silver cream jugs without lids were only introduced in the 1720’s so this is probably one of the earliest silver cream jugs ever made. Excellent colour. Contains 100 ml.     A rare pair of antique sterling silver sauceboats having a plain circular shape on an oval pedestal foot. Single lip. Extremely large and heavy weight. This is a very early date for a silver sauceboat, the first were introduced into England in circa 1715 and had a double lip, the single lipped boats started to appear circa 1730. An unusual feature is the model lion head at the top of the handle. Each jug has a hand engraved crest of a ship to one side, a lion crest to the other side. Good colour. Each contains 450 ml. Weight of pair 1070 grams, 34.4 troy ounces. Height 14 cms (to top of handle). Bowl width 12 cms. Spread 19.5 cms. London 1732. Maker Edward Feline.

    A very smart antique silver caddy box of plain rectagonal form having a hinged lid and original gilt interior. This delightful tea box has a band of hand engraved decoration around the sides and on the lid. Weight 346 grams, 11.1 troy ounces. Height 10.5 cms. Top 6 x 9.5 cms. Marked on top, around the top edge of the body and underneath with French silver marks. Circa 1795. High grade 935 silver.

With a tall shapely form on a pedestal foot and curved wooden handle with discreetly decorated end mounts. The body is half fluted below a central reeded band. To the front there is a hand engraved coat of arms with the motto below “Vis Unita Fortior” – “United Strength is Stronger”. On the lid there is a hand engraved crest. Contains 1300 ml. They are both matching but there is an unusual feature – one has a decorative pierced top and the other has an unpierced and engraved top. To the front of the body there is a fine hand engraved armorial with the motto “Beware in Time” topped (on the lid) by a crest of a heron devouring a salmon, probably the arms of the Lumisden family, Innergelly, Scotland.
