    Of racing interest. A magnificent antique silver gilt wine cooler by the world famous English silversmith Paul Storr. Elegant classical style with Campana urn form; the twin handles mounted with Bacchanalian face masks. The lift off cover has a finial in the form of a wrythen fluted flower seed with petal surround. Embossed to the front in low relief is a charming scene of horses relaxing and socialising. The reverse has an applied laurel wreath containing an engraved inscription for Newcastle Upon Tyne Stewards 1817. Weight 3718 grams, 119 troy ounces. Height 38cm. London 1809. Of globular form, on a circular foot, the glass is encased with a fine quality decoration of pierced silver flowers, leaves, scrolls and other motifs. Original gilt to the inside of the lid and neck.     A magnificent large antique sterling silver wine jug in the traditional form of an Armada jug. Very elegant design on a pedestal foot. Suitable for both hot and cold drinks. The hinged lid, with ornate flower and scroll finial, opens by squeezing the handle mechanism. Beautifully chased with flowers, scrolls and leaves, the jug has a cartouche to both sides (uninscribed). The front has an applied animals head and to either side of each cartouche there is a winged classical figure with arms extended. Weight 943 grams, 30.3 troy ounces. Height 31.5cm. Spread 14.5cm.     Literature. The antique silver pap boat was originally used as a shallow feeding dish for a child or invalid. These appeared circa 1710 and fell out of manufacture about 120 years later. With their smooth elegant shape, they make ideal servers for sauce.

    An unusual antique silver tea caddy box of curved rectangular form. Lovely classic style. This is a double caddy designed for both black and green tea. Beautifully engraved to the lid and body with leaf borders and a thick band of foliate scrolls with interspersed flowerheads. To the front is a monogram in old fashioned script. The fixed carrying handle has a reed and acanthus decoration. The unusual double opening lid has an inset hinge and there is a lock to either side. Key provided. Weight 661 grams, 21.2 troy ounces.     An outstanding quality antique silver coffee pot of gourd form, the body depicting Dutch tavern scenes after David Teniers, deeply chased in relief. Made by Edward Farrell, one of the most innovative silversmiths of the day. The fabulous spout, in the form of a dragon with outstretched wings, is very rare and unrecorded. The drunken revellers are drinking, playing music and dancing in the company of serving wenches, dogs and a caged bird. The lid finial depicts a man reclining with his dog, drinking and smoking a long pipe. This very heavy pot weighs 1394 grams, 44.8 troy ounces. Height 25.5cm. Spread 22.5cm. London 1818.
