Excellent quality and good gauge silver as you’d expect from this world famous English silversmith. To the front there is a hand engraved crest with the motto “Jour de ma vie”*. Weight 1296 grams, 41.6 troy ounces. Top measures 34.5 x 22 cms. Height 13 cms. London 1799. Maker Paul Storr.

A handsome George III knife box with tooled leather covering and brass mounts. Fitted with a full and matching set of continental solid silver cutlery, the knives and forks with cannon handles. The set comprises 6 knives with steel blades, 6 forks with steel two prong tines, and 6 solid silver spoons. Each with a hand engraved crown over a monogram. A very usable set. Marked “13” and with makers initials “IK”. Probably German, circa 1800.

A rare Irish provincial sterling silver serving spoon with highly sought after Limerick marks. Excellent plain style with the pointed terminal, typical of the late 18th century. The end is hand engraved with with a crest and the motto “Pro Rege, Lege Grege” (Latin for ‘For King, Law and People’). Weight 98 grams, 3.1 troy ounces. Length 33 cms. Width 5 cms. Marked on the back of the handle with the makers mark WFG for William Fitzgerald (worked at Mary Street and 15, Patrick Street, Limerick 1794-1824) and “STERLING”.

An excellent quality pair of antique silver spoons with figural ends depicting a classical lady culminating in a twisted handle possibly resembling a mermaids tail. The gilded bowl is attached with a fruit encrusted mount. These delightful spoons are very heavy and have a chunky feel. Traces of gilding all over. Weight 179 grams, 5.7 troy ounces. Length 18 cms. Marked on the back of the bowl with a hand mark. Probably German. Circa 1800.

The covers are hand engraved to the front and back with a bugle crest. The bases have a matching armorial hand engraved to the front. Exceptional weight 5359 grams, 172.3 troy ounces. This elegant silver table centre comprises an oval stand, decorated with leaves and swags, to which the 4 side arms are attached. A useful feature is that the oval centre can be used on its own, or with a combination of 1,2 ,3 or all 4 arms.The weight of silver is 2095 grams, 67.3 troy ounces.
