    An attractive little Tibetan or Nepalese silver teapot with a domed lid attached with a chain. Interesting style combining both Indian and Chinese influences. The handle is modelled as a dragon’s head and curving neck, the body has both engraved and embossed decoration. Contains 200 ml. Weight 247 grams, 7.9 troy ounces. Height 12 cms. Spread 16 cms. Stamped on the top edge of the lid with 2 symbols, probably the makers mark. Circa 1900.

    9286 Antique Silver Wager Cup

    An antique silver model of a windmill mounted on a wine cup. Hand engraved. Beautifully constructed with multiple moving parts. The windmill house is reached by a staircase with two sculptured figures climbing up, on one side there is a man peeping out of a small window. The revolving windmill sails connect to the clock hands on the other side and both move together. The roof is mounted with a revolving flag, a tiny bird and a sculptured finial. There is a horn which is non-functional. Weight 203 grams, 6.5 troy ounces. Height 22.5 cm. Diameter of cup 8.5 cm. Fully stamped with Dutch silver marks fpr Amsterdam. Circa 1890.

Each set consists of a sterling silver fork, spoon and steel knife, all with a handle which unscrews, a silver handled travelling corkscrew and a three section sterling silver condiment barrel. All contained in a sterling silver beaker with all over engine turned decoration. Each piece is silver hallmarked for London 1866 and has monogram engraved in old fashioned script. A very similar style of goblet was made in England during the 1860’s by John Samuel Hunt and retailed by ‘Hunt & Roskell Late Storr & Mortimer’.

    A delightful antique sterling silver mug with embossed decoration of children and putti. Fantastic quality, even the handle is in the form of a putti, and there are face masks around the base. To the front is an ornamental cartouche (uninscribed). Original interior gilding. No detail has been spared in the manufacture and the mug even has a double skin so that the embossed detail is hidden on the inside. Weight 341 grams, 10.9 troy ounces. Height 9.50 cms.
