    An antique silver mounted coconut cup on a tall spreading foot. Good size and condition. The silver mount has a silver inner bowl with the original gilding. Hand engraved on the foot is the crest of a castle topped by a bird. Contains 235 ml. Height 14.4 cms. Diameter 8.2 cms. The silver is marked inside the bowl and on the rim and foot for London 1800.     A rare piece of English provincial silver. A large and impressive antique sterling silver jug of bellied shape on a flat foot, having a plain body and squared handle. The top and spout have decorative borders and broad bands of foliage, chains and dot engraving. To the front there is a hand engraved foliate cartouche containing a monogram of entwined initials in old fashioned script. Excellent patina and hand beaten finish. Contains 2450 ml.     Of racing interest. A magnificent antique silver gilt wine cooler by the world famous English silversmith Paul Storr. Elegant classical style with Campana urn form; the twin handles mounted with Bacchanalian face masks. The lift off cover has a finial in the form of a wrythen fluted flower seed with petal surround. Embossed to the front in low relief is a charming scene of horses relaxing and socialising. The reverse has an applied laurel wreath containing an engraved inscription for Newcastle Upon Tyne Stewards 1817. Weight 3718 grams, 119 troy ounces. Height 38cm. London 1809. Fantastic quality from top to toe, just as you’d expect from this prestigious English master silversmith. With a cast decorative top finial, thick knotted handle, large applied vine leaves to the lower body and a heavy cast silver foot. Wrapped around the body are 2 bands of ornate gilt silver vine leaves and a curious feature is the lower band, which covers the silver hallmarks, but can be detached by unscrewing the central vine leaf.
