    A handsome George III knife box with tooled leather covering and brass mounts. Fitted with a full and matching set of continental solid silver cutlery, the knives and forks with cannon handles. The set comprises 6 knives with steel blades, 6 forks with steel two prong tines, and 6 solid silver spoons. Each with a hand engraved crown over a monogram. A very usable set. Marked “13” and with makers initials “IK”. Probably German, circa 1800.

The base has a shaped band of embossed gadroon decoration and the feet are in the form of gush of water ejected from the dophin’s mouth. On top there is a fine quality cut glass bowl. Weight of silver 1528 grams, 49.1 troy ounces. Total height 18 cms. Base 34 x 26.5 cms. Glass bowl 31.5 x 23 cms. German silver stamps crown and moon. Silver fineness “800”*. Circa 1890.

    A tall and imposing silver model of a stork standing on one foot and holding a worm in his beak. A superb figure, with expert workmanship and lifelike feathers and wings. The head, with glass eyes, is detachable and inside there is a pierced silver stopper with a bird finial. Weight 535 grams, 17.2 troy ounces. Height 33 cms. Spread 31 cms. Diameter of base 11.5 cms. Marked on all pieces with Dutch silver marks. Circa 1890.

    Of colonial interest. A delightful antique silver teapot with embossed decoration all over of a hunting scene. With a snake handle and coiled snake finger rest (to assist pouring) on top. The decoration is very charming with the palm tree forest inhabited by elephants, lions, rabbits, a boy with a spear and a deity with wings. Contains 750 ml. Weight 515 grams, 16.5 troy ounces. Height 12 (to top of snake). Spread 25 cms. Unmarked silver. Indian, probably Kutch. Circa 1900.

    A delightful antique silver clock of waisted shape, sitting on four scroll feet, the case decorated with cast silver rococo mounts. Dainty size. The front is very beautiful having a pierced silver decoration, with a bird and flowers, over an inset panel of mother of pearl. The dial is very pretty and has multi coloured decoration. The hinged back panel opens to access the watch type movement. Height 10 cm. Width 5.5 cm. Marked inside the hinged panel with German silver marks, crown and moon, and the silver grade 800. To the left there is a small square mark with a wheel inside which may be the makers mark. Circa 1900

    Large and imposing. A substantial antique silver plated candelabra with 5 branches in Old Sheffield Plate. Very elegant plain style with a simple tapering column, curving branches and gadroon finish. The base is engraved with the crest of a horse to two sides. This candelabra is very versatile – it can be used with all 5 branches but also dismantles to make a single 2 branch candelabra. Also the base used as a candlestick. The candle sconces are detachable (the centre one is non-matching). Height – total 73 cms, candlestick 49 cms. Spread 52 cms. Unmarked. Circa 1830.
