    A rare and delightful antique scent bottle with a decorative gold mount. Excellent quality. In the original fitted box. The beautiful gold mounted top has a hand engraved design with a classical Greek key border and scroll work additions, inside the hinged top there is a small glass stopper. The oval shaped body is made of multi faceted rock crystal and typically of the period, has a rounded base which was made to lie down. Bottle height 10 cms. Width 4.25 cms. Stamped on the mount with a small Dutch gold mark, circa 1860.

Broad heavy design with the distinctive leaf motif on the handle, typical of Channel Islands silver of this period. Weight 440 grams, 14.1 troy ounces. Underneath is a presentation inscription (later in date) to “George Du Heaume ne 11 Decembre 1806”. Contains 1 pint. Height 12 cms. Diameter of top 9 cms.     A magnificent large antique sterling silver wine jug of elegant shaped form on pedestal foot. The hinged lid, with ornate flower encrusted finial, opens by squeezing the handle mechanism. Beautifully chased with flowers, swirls and leaves, the jug has a cartouche to both sides (uninscribed). To the front there is an applied animals head and both sides of each cartouche there is a winged figure. Weight 1231 grams, 39.5 troy ounces. Height 37 cms. London 1893. Maker W & J Barnard.

Small size silver cream jugs without lids were only introduced in the 1720’s so this is probably one of the earliest silver cream jugs ever made. To the front are some hand engraved initials.     An antique dish cover of curved rectangular form in Old Sheffield plate. Good size. Handsome plain design with a gadroon ring border and decorative handle. Hand engraved to both sides is a lion crest on a chequered background within a decorative cartouche – all within an inset silver shield. Lovely crisp borders. Height 25 cms. Length 40 cms. Width 31 cms. Marked inside the handle with the double sun mark for Matthew Boulton, probably the most well known of all Old Sheffield plate makers. Circa 1820.
